Who and Where We are

Bed & Breakfast Gli Ulivi

My name is Ambrosiano, I’m 40 years old, and I grew up with all the traditions of my country. I’m a cheerful, outgoing, positive, and optimistic person who loves to travel.

I adore my hometown: Sant’Anna Arresi, and the entire Sulcis Iglesiente region. In fact, about 15 years ago, I decided to transform my grandparents’ house into a small tourist accommodation that I manage with my family: my partner Pamela and our young lady Rebecca.

Our tourist establishment is called Bed & Breakfast Gli Ulivi, in honor of the numerous olive groves that surround us, featuring highly prized varieties!

I enjoy ensuring the well-being of the people I host, striving to convey everything that represents our land. Whenever I can, I make sure they savor our homemade ravioli and roasted suckling pig, all enjoyed with a good glass of “Carignano del Sulcis” wine.

Come visit Sulcis, you’ll fall in love with it!!!

Sant’Anna Arresi is a town of about 2,700 inhabitants, located in the far southwest of Sardinia.

It rises on a hill at about 80 meters above sea level, overlooking the entire plain of the lower Sulcis from the Gulf of Porto Pino to that of Palmas.

At the top of the hill, amidst the two churches dedicated to the patron saint of the town, stands majestically a rare example of a city nuraghe, dating back to the 15th-14th century BC.

In recent years, Sant’Anna Arresi has shifted its economy towards tourism, focusing on sustainable tourism that respects the environment, an essential condition to preserve the beauty of its landscape heritage.

Its main attractions are undoubtedly the Porto Pino beach, with its 4 kilometers of white sands and crystalline waters that make it an authentic pearl and queen of the southwest. Equally impressive are its dunes, always of the whitest sand, reaching up to 40 meters in height, an authentic jewel of natural beauty that has no rivals.

The town, as indicated by the sign at the entrance, is recognized as the “City of Wine and Music.” Of wine because in the hills of Porto Pino, cradled by the sun and wind and caressed by the salt air, you can find the vineyards of “Carignano del Sulcis,” from which the homonymous wine is produced, appreciated worldwide. Of music because at the end of summer, in the beautiful and characteristic square of the Nuraghe, the international event “At the Borders between Sardinia and Jazz” takes place.

The town and the seaside locality of Porto Pino offer all the necessary services to spend a carefree and relaxing vacation.

We look forward to welcoming you and offering you all our hospitality.
